Student Assistance Program Liaison
Job Summary: PART TIME
$500 Hiring Incentive!
Fort Leboeuf School District- 10-12 hours per week during the school year ONLY.
School-based program that provides screening, assessments and collaboration of mental health services for students between the parents, school officials and outside agencies.
Essential Functions of Position:
1. Collaborate with parents, teachers, school administration, and outside agencies through phone calls, meetings, ESAP meetings.
2. Assist students in the coordination of needed services (i.e. MA loopholes,
health insurance, mental health services etc.)
3. Screen and complete assessments on referred students and recommend mental health services.
4. Coordinate and assist with establishing psychiatric services when needed.
5. Collaborate with Millcreek Community Hospital on discharge plans.
6. Make referrals to outside agencies for services.
7. Provide individual and group counseling.
8. Complete and submit electronic monthly data tracking spreadsheet to IU5.
9. Utilize Behavioral Health Works (BH-Works) for initial assessments with middle and high school students.
10. Attend mandatory quarterly IU5 SAP meetings.
Professional Responsibilities:
1. Understand and fulfill job duties within the scope of the mission statement.

3. Maintain professional relationships with agency personnel, school personnel,
students, families, and outside agencies.
4. Meet with supervisor regularly to discuss expectations and job duties.
5. Fulfill training requirements as outlined in the Staff Development policy and as required by the contract with the school district and the Intermediate Unit.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1. Superior interpersonal skills and ability to develop and maintain relationships
on a professional level.
2. Knowledge of community resources utilized for referrals.
3. Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
4. Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
5. Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
6. Ability to maintain records and other documents efficiently.
7. Basic knowledge of office equipment including printer, fax machine, and copier.
Required Education, Experience, and Clearances:
1. Master’s Degree in the social services/education field required.
2. Licensed Professional Counselor preferred.
3. Student Assistance Program training required through the Intermediate Unit.
4. FBI, Child Abuse History, PA State Police, and Driver Clearances. Other clearances may be required dependent on residency status.
Physical Demands:
1. Lifting requirement of less than 10lbs on an occasional basis.
