Part Time School Based Calendar

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Location: Meadville Campus

Department: Acute/ Non-Acute Partial Hospitalization
Immediate Supervisor: Partial Hospitalization Supervisor


Job Summary:


School-based program, working school day hours as a classroom monitor, assisting in classroom management and providing intensive behavior and mental health support including applying identified therapeutic interventions in the classrooms.


Essential Functions of the Position:


1. Provide behavioral backup in school setting and crisis intervention.

2. Provide necessary support to Bethesda students in classroom setting.

3. Assist in design, coordination, and implementation of summer school program.

4. Liaison between Bethesda Lutheran Services and involved outside agencies, schools, parents, etc.

5. Supervision backup on field trips.

6. Maintenance of assigned Bethesda student’s files.

7. Documentation of relevant information.

8. Plan and implement therapeutic groups as designated.

9. Assist with scheduling and planning as needed.

10. Work in conjunction with other staff to form efficient, effective, and cohesive team.

11. Counseling, therapeutic interventions.

12. Supervise client self administration of medication.

13. Assists with campus coverage as needed.


Professional Responsibilities:


1. Understand and fulfill job duties within the scope of the mission statement.

2. Adhere to the policies and procedures of the agency.

3. Maintain professional relationships with agency personnel, medical personnel and

outside agencies.

4. Meet with supervisor biweekly for one-on-one supervision.

5. Act as a positive role model for residents by maintaining a professional demeanor

and ethical behavior at all times.

6. Fulfill training requirements as outlined in the Staff Development policy and as required by the supervisor and/or the program.


Required Education, Experience and Clearances:


1. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services related field preferred.

2. A High School Diploma with at least two years of experience in a mental health or closely related field required.

3. One to two years’ experience in the mental health and/or adolescent field preferred.

4. Knowledge of CASSP and special education principles.

5. FBI, Child Abuse History, PA State Police, and Driver Clearances. Other clearances may be required dependent on status.


Job Type: Full Time
