Salary is $44,720.00 - $49,920.00 per year based on experience and licensure
Job Summary:
A school-based therapist otherwise referred to as “Mental Health Professional” is responsible for the coordination of referrals, admissions, assessments, interventions, individual/family therapy, and treatment/discharge planning under the direction of the Program Supervisor.
Essential Functions of the Position:
1. Supervise clients including: ensuring clients follow agency & program policies & procedures, implementation of Partial regulations, knowing clients’ location at all times, being aware of possible problems, implementing activities, & being alert to safety issues.
2. Complete individual therapy with each client weekly, family therapy monthly.
3. Maintain individual client charts.
4. Implement and co-facilitate therapeutic and educational activities.
5. Participate, observe, and document group dynamic interactions.
6. Responsible for assessment and treatment planning for clients, including behavior modification programs.
7. Work with program staff to ensure the safe implementation of the behavioral management program appropriate to the needs of the Partial clients.
8. Collaborate with team members (Mental Health Workers, other clinicians, psychiatrist, and teachers) ensuring the physical, emotional and medical needs of the clients are met.
9. Responsible for MA documentation of client contact.
10. Assist with chart auditing procedures.
11. Assist in developing and facilitating summer group programming.
