Behavioral Health Technician| 2 needed for Union City School District

Job Summary:

Perform on-site observations of clients and develop specific behavior plans that can be implemented. This is a year-round position.

Essential Functions of the Position:

1. Implement specific school and community-based behavioral plans.

2. Deliver psychoeducational groups for youth and/or families.

3. Track measurable objectives in relation to the client’s treatment plan.

4. Communicate progress through reports and attend clinical team meetings at the Supervisors discretion.

5. Provide care coordination and linkage.

6. Work collaboratively with the school district to compliment school district interventions such as the school district’s education based, emotional, & behavioral support programs, and the school-wide positive behavioral support (SWPBS) program.

7. Assist with case consultation and crisis intervention services in the school, community, and home.

Professional Responsibilities:

1. Understand and fulfill job duties within the scope of the mission statement.

2. Adhere to the policies and procedures of the agency.

3. Maintain professional relationships with clients, families and outside agencies.

4. Meet with supervisor for one-on-one supervision weekly.

5. Fulfill training requirements, including in-service training, as outlined in the Staff

Development policy.

Required Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:

1. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are required including communicating in a manner that is precise and clearly conveys expectations and instructions to enable staff to successfully execute a plan for the client.

2. Excellent interviewing and assessment skills.

3. Ability to work as part of a team.

Required Education, Experience, & Clearances:

1. A Bachelor’s degree in human services related field.

2.. FBI, Child Abuse History, PA State Police, and Driver Clearances. Other clearances may be required dependent on residency status.

3. Two or more years’ experience in a clinical setting preferred.3


Salary | $17-$18 per hour
