Job Summary:

Bethesda Lutheran Services is an organization that strives to be trauma-informed at all levels. In conjunction with the Unit Supervisor, this position will seek to ensure trauma-informed care and the creation and maintenance of a trauma-informed environment on the unit. This position will coordinate and complete the day-to-day responsibilities for routines, resident care and unit operations, while assisting the Unit Supervisor in management of the unit.

Essential Functions of the Position:

1. Provide daily coverage of the unit coordinating daily routines.

2. Be able to work a minimum of three (3) direct-care shifts each week that may take the form of evenings and/or weekends.

3. Act as a contact for school staff to assist in handling situations with youth at school.

4. Perform supervisory responsibilities when Unit Supervisor is absent.

4. Assist with campus coverage as needed.

5. Coordinate home visits including setting up guidelines and transportation arrangements.

6. Oversee the tracking and counting of youths’ medications including medication variance forms.

7. Balance and maintain records, receipts, and requests of unit monies and youth allowances.

8. Coordinate and assist in transportation of youth appointments.

9. Perform clerical duties as needed (i.e. copies, supplies, etc.).

10. Participate in court hearings as needed.

11. Participant in ISP and 30-Day Meetings as scheduled.

12. Participate in the on-call rotation for residential programs.

13. Make decisions regarding consequences/behavior management of residents.

14. Communicate with other support and treatment services (i.e. nurse, cafeteria,

psychiatrist, maintenance, etc.).

Salary: $40,560.00 per year
